Stop!!!!!

Starting to wonder if the world has started spinning faster than usual. I have consistently been feeling like my day has been shortened by an hour, at minimum.
Really .... what is going on? I used to be able to call a friend, respond to email, update a blog ... but lately, I am out of control. I am forgetful. I am forever adding things to my to-do list but never subtracting any!
I will be in the, driving the car, kneeling at church and suddenly remembering something I completely forgot to do.
I feel like I neglect my friends, my family, my job .... me.
Anyone else feel this way????

Cross that off

When do you actually finish a to-do list?

I mean, are we ever actually done? Is it sad that I actually put things like "sleep-in" or "paint nails" as tasks that I have to accomplish?

Is it even more sad that I have had "complete photo album" on my rotating list since 2003????

Am I a really bad mom since, also on the rotating list, is "finish baby books"? And when I mean finish, I mean, actually enter in when Big J started walking and little j was born???

Will I ever become a person who can sit down at the end of a long day and watch TV with the knowledge that the only stuff left on my to-do list is frivolous stuff?

Is it weird that I actually enjoy putting items on my list just so I can cross them off and feel like I did something that day?!??!?!

I think I will add "drink" on my list today .... I know that since it is the weekend, I will accomplish at least one task. And that is sssoooo much more fun than "clean the grout." Isn't it????

A place to sit

Our new couch was delivered last night. After three long months without (my husband and his over-zealous ways threw out our old one before I could blink ... our family of four and various visitors all had to share an Ikea chair and old Lazy Day ... I digress). Its sharp. I wasn't too fond of it at first ... but after seeing it in teh room, with the new paint ... I like it .... Now to get the ottoman, art for the walls, kitchen painted, dining room color picked out, dining room table ..... AH! nevermind!!!
